What We Do .

At Twin Cities Wellness Center & Recovery Gym, we live by our core values: Respect, Service, and Results. Our mission is to empower recovery and restore health, happiness, and purpose.

Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP – ASAM 2.1)

A structured, evidence-based program for individuals with moderate to severe substance use disorders who require consistent support but do not need 24-hour care.
Offered: Monday–Friday | 8:30 AM–12:30 PM
Includes:

  • Daily group therapy

  • Weekly individual counseling

  • Psychoeducation on addiction and recovery

  • Co-occurring disorder support

 

Individual Therapy

We provide trauma-informed individual counseling to address substance use, mental health, and co-occurring issues. Clients gain personalized tools for coping, self-regulation, and long-term recovery in a safe, supportive setting.

ASAM 1.0 Outpatient Program (Aftercare)

A step-down level of care for clients transitioning out of IOP or other treatment levels. This program reinforces recovery skills and offers continued support for relapse prevention.
Offered: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday | 5:30 PM–7:30 PM
Includes:

  • Continued group support

  • Individual counseling check-ins

  • Life skills development

  • Relapse prevention planning

  • Community reintegration support

Group & Individual Counseling

Evidence-based therapy sessions led by licensed alcohol and drug counselors and mental health professionals.
Focus Areas:

  • Substance use and co-occurring disorders

  • Trauma resolution and emotional regulation

  • Identity, relationships, and boundaries

  • Grief, shame, and self-esteem

Mental Health Assessments

Comprehensive assessments to evaluate mental health and co-occurring disorders. These assessments inform diagnosis, treatment planning, and referrals when needed.
Conducted by: Licensed mental health professionals
Includes:

  • Diagnostic evaluations

  • Risk and safety assessments

  • Treatment recommendations

Physical Wellness Sessions

Fitness-based therapy sessions designed to promote overall well-being and physical health as part of the recovery process.
Led by: Licensed counselors with fitness or personal training credentials
Activities May Include:

  • Strength and conditioning exercises

  • Mobility and flexibility training

  • Recovery-focused movement sessions

  • Stress-reduction techniques through physical activity

Certified Peer Recovery Services

Support from individuals with lived experience in recovery who are trained to guide, mentor, and empower clients.
Services Include:

  • Peer coaching

  • Goal setting and accountability

  • Navigation of community resources

  • Recovery advocacy and mentorship

One-on-One Nutrition Counseling

Personalized nutrition support for clients working to rebuild health and manage cravings, gut health, and mood through diet.
Provided by: A licensed registered dietitian
Focus Areas:

  • Meal planning and balanced eating

  • Nutrient deficiencies common in early recovery

  • Emotional eating and body image

  • Managing blood sugar and energy levels

Practical Life Support & Resource Navigation

Help for clients addressing basic needs and systemic barriers that may impact recovery.

  • Applying for and navigating health insurance

  • Accessing public benefits (e.g., SNAP, housing)

  • Replacing lost identification documents

  • Finding employment and vocational programs

  • Obtaining clothing, hygiene items, and food

  • Navigating transitional or permanent housing options
